About Faith

FAITH RICO is a versatile and inspirational singer, songwriter, theatre artist and producer whose soulful voice and emotive compositions have moved audiences across genres of contemporary, classical, gospel and theatre music. Her music is a powerful expression of faith, healing, and hope.

Faith has graced renowned stages including Optus Stadium singing the Philippine National Anthem and becoming the first Filipino-Australian to sing the same before a crowd of almost 60,000 people and millions of viewers worldwide. Faith has collaborated with many renowned local and international artists, including respected Filipino-Puerto Rican artist Gary Valenciano, Pillars of Original Filipino Music- APO Hiking Society, American artist, composer and producer David Pomeranz.

In 2023, Faith has successfully produced Noli Me Tangere the Musical based on the novel of the Philippines National Hero, Jose Rizal, where she also performed as the main female character, Maria Clara. Among her other notable concert series and performances include, Marriage of Figaro Opera by Mozart; Opera, Operetta and Music Theatre Delights concert; Choral oratorio performances that include Coronation and Fantasia: Vivaldi's Gloria, Gounod's Missa de Sancta Cecilia, Gregorian Chant and Louis Vierne's Messe Solennelle (Kyrie Eleison); Filipino singing priests concert; Songs of Praises Concert for Voice of the Voiceless; Music of the Night concert (Phantom of the Opera).

Growing up experiencing hardship and homelessness in Manila, Philippines, Faith is deeply committed to using music as a tool for positive social impact, actively collaborating with charitable organisations and leading programs to alleviate poverty. Her belief that music has the power to transform lives, heal emotional wounds, and uplift the marginalised continues to inspire her work, and her life story was made into a book and short film.

Faith founded Faith and Music Academy in 2010 to inspire many young singers to discover their voice and share their gift of music to help people around the world experiencing hardship through charity concerts and recitals.

Through her performances, teaching, and advocacy, Faith is a beacon of faith and inspiration, demonstrating that music is not only a form of artistic expression but also a profound means of healing, connection, and social impact. Faith’s dedication to her craft and her philanthropic efforts have earned her numerous awards in Western Australia.

Faith is a graduate of the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and currently taking further studies in Classical Music at WAAPA. She also received a certificate in Contemporary Performance-Voice from the Centre for Pop Music, Philippines.
